This creates some complications with the i Tunes hosts file on your PC/Mac and the Apple’s validation server.

The problem here is i Tunes cannot contact Apple’s servers through DNS.

The same error is occurring even when trying to sync the i Phone with i Tunes.

Even after trying out the above simple steps if you are still getting the error, then follow the below two methods that I’ve successfully used.

December 20th, 2011 A few days back, Chronic Dev Team member an i OS hacker Pod2g revealed a new untethered jailbreak solution for i OS 5.

He tested it on a third generation i Pod Touch running the 5.0 i OS software, but was not sure if it would be able to jailbreak the latest i OS 5.0.1 as well.

Method-I: The most predominant cause for this error to occur has been the hosts file issue in windows and mac.

This may be due to the outdated version of i Tunes software you are using.

This time you will be able to successfully do it without getting i Tunes error 3194.

After backing up with i Tunes, simply go to i Tunes - Preferences in the menu bar, then hit the Devices tab.

You'll see your backup listed, then just right-click on it and select "Archive" to safeguard it.

It’s always a nightmare when Apple’s Official Tools start showing error.

Recently many i Phone,i Pad or i Pod users are coming across i Tunes error 3194 when you try to restore or update your i Phone,i Pad or i Pod using i Tunes.
